by coach to Aviemore either by Scottish Citylink from Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh and other places in Scotland, or by National Express from London and other places in England and across Europe.

by train to Aviemore from Inverness or Perth with connections from Edinburgh & Glasgow. Services also run direct from London Kings Cross via Peterborough, York & Newcastle. There is also a night sleeper service to Aviemore from London Euston via Crewe (all enquiries tel. 08457 484950).

By air to Glasgow Prestwick and Edinburgh -
Air Arann - from Dublin
...from across Europe with Ryanair and others. It's a scenic four hour train ride to Aviemore station but there's a worthwhile trick here. If you fly into Prestwick you're entitled to half price rail travel from the airport to anywhere in Scotland. From Prestwick to Aviemore is only £25 return. Just keep your ticket or email printout and buy your ticket on the train. Also remember you have to change stations in Glasgow (Central to Queen Street - a five minute walk).
