Nethy House Cafe This delightful café in the heart of Nethy Bridge is highly recommended. Not only does it serve a delicious range of light lunches, sweet treats, and great coffee, but it also sells creations by local artisans.

Nethybridge Hotel A short walk from Nethybridge, the Hotel is open to non-residents with a charming dining room and good menu choice, often featuring local produce.

Balliefurth Farm Shop Just round the corner from the Cafe, a well stocked village shop stocking farm produce, fresh vegetables and meat along with many other treats.

Anderson’s Restaurant Booking recommended. The former fishing tackle shop, now the very pretty Anderson’s, is a 15 minute drive away and is a brilliant, intimate and inventive bistro, using the best local produce around. Open for both lunch and candle-lit suppers, great for kid’s meals and has the most dizzying menu of homemade ice cream imaginable.

The High Street Merchants A favourite with many locals for coffee or lunch, this café is an aesthetically pleasing and relaxed environment to grab a bite.

The Garth Hotel A slick and upbeat restaurant with chatty staff and a high quality menu. Booking is advised.

KJ’s Bothy Bakery Of Mountain Cafe fame, KJ and her team upped sticks to Grantown on Spey in 2020 and now offer deli-style take away and sit-oot dining. An absolute must.

The Cairn Bar A small, family owned, village centre hotel with a warm welcome, a log fire, top quality food, local ales, great service, excellent value for money and a country pub atmosphere.

Old Bridge Inn The Old Bridge has become somewhat of an institution in the area. Consistently wonderful menus, always a warm welcome, brilliant new live music and the best craic around. What more does one need? This has become a local for the whole area and always dishes up a great evening.

Cheese & Tomatin Situated in the heart of Aviemore above Cairngorm Mountain Sports, Cheese & Tomatin boasts incredible mountain views. Enjoy dining in our rustic, mountain style café or on our balcony when weather permits. What better way to end your day in the great outdoors than with a traditional pizza and a cold beer beside our woodburning stove! Just be aware it is often busy and no bookings are accommodated.

La Taverna Ristorante and Pizzeria A family favourite complete with red and white checkered tablecloths, proper stone-baked pizza and an alpine ski-lodge atmosphere.

The Skiing Doo and the Doo Below Bar Been going since the golden age of seventies ski-suits descended on Aviemore. Enormous steaks, curly fries and a quirky pine-clad après-ski institution.

Deli Mair Combine inhouse baking with some of the Highlands best bakers to offer a wide choice of artisan bread. All their butcher meat and seafood comes from within a hours drive of the delicatessen to ensure quality and freshness and we have craft beers from our very local Cairngorm Brewery.

The Bothy Bistro. The North East coast is a great adventure during your stay, from Cawdor Castle to Findhorn Bay. The Bothy in Burghead is a wonderful, good value choice for lunch or dinner.
