Camping in Aviemore - Need to Know

Camping is self-catering affair however we can provide you with a Lazy Breakfast Hamper consisting of home baked bread, eggs from our hens , homemade muesli, local jams butter, milk and from mid-summer onwards enjoy salads and vegetables from our garden. Our hampers can be pre-booked or arranged before you arrive.

We ask that lit chimeneas and cooking stoves are never left unattended. Please don’t approach the pond or wander amongst the ducks, but do watch them from the Welcoming Seat overlooking the water. Children are welcome to ask if they can help at morning duck feeding time.

You will find recycling arrangements clearly marked for all separated waste materials. Protective slates are provided and must be used beneath all cooking stoves & hot pots to avoid any burn marks on the grass & shelter surfaces.

The Lazy Duck is a peaceful place. Please be mindful of this when you are enjoying the swings and hammock and around the chimenea fires. For everybody’s benefit we ask for a respectful quiet period between 11pm and 8am. Lazy Duck is a non-smoking environment.

Regrettably visiting dog/s are not possible on account of the sensitive wildlife in the vicinity. However we can personally recommend a small local kennels, Hilltop Kennels in Dulnain Bridge, offering first class accommodation and individual care at a very reasonable price to enable your pet to get the benefit of the great walks here.

Until the current Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, Lazy Duck will be operating a self service check in. The practicalities are covered in the links below but please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any further questions. A full status list of activities, attractions and restaurant/bars is being worked on and will be made available as soon as possible.

NB: Please note that our normal overflow pitches may not be available for walk-ins as we have always tried to accommodate. If you intend to walk in on the off chance, please call beforehand.
