Embraced by the forest and on the bank of our duck pond: our waterside eco lodge in the Cairngorms National Park.
“My partner and I had the most magical stay in the Duck’s Nest at Lazy Duck. Set in the most beautiful landscape, we had a wonderful time feeding the beautiful ducks, relaxing and enjoying the scenery and the peaceful surroundings, starting our days with invigorating outdoor showers and finishing them getting cosy with the wood burner and our crosswords! There are many beautiful places to go for walks all very close, and you can enjoy a hot tub under the stars. I also had the best full body massage I’ve ever had courtesy of the lovely Sarah at Lazy Duck, and she and Phil provided us with snug dressing gowns and crocs which were very helpful for our stay. We ended our trip with a visit from a red squirrel who ate his breakfast about a metre away from our bed and saw a deer in the forest as well. It was a real treat to be so close to nature and I spent my whole week smiling.” Catherine & Petros, London, March 2020.
This luxury hide offers wildlife photography opportunities and waterfowl viewing at all times of the year. Your neighbours are a mixed team of rare breed ducks who welcome attention when you choose to feed them from your veranda.
Stretch out on the veranda in the morning sun to sound of the stream, delight in the ducks going about their business. Snuggle down in a Hebridean box bed with windows to the forest and the night sky. Fall asleep to the sound of a babbling brook.
To unwind and relax a little more, book a private session in our wood fired hot tub or infra-red sauna or massage and yoga treatment in our well being studio. Please pre-book or get in touch with us for more information.
