A luxury eco cabin for two in the heart of Lazy Duck. Come and stay in our idyllic meadow home from home.
“There is not a more tranquil or cosy place where we could have been at this stressful time of year; no easier place to self-quarantine. The chooks (Chickens) were very welcoming and it was a pleasure to be able to see the night sky from such a cosy box bed. We hope to be back. It was well worth the trek from Australia.”. Cal & Rehana, Australia, March 2020.
Soak up the morning sun from the verandah while feeding your neighbours, a flock of hens who cluck and scratch for your attention. Forest bathe in your hammock as deer peep through the woods and red squirrels dart to and fro.
Pick your own salad and herbs, collect freshly laid eggs and when the sun goes down, burn Macallan Whiskey Staves on the chimenea. Cook, eat, drink and chat until the stars come out.
To unwind and relax a little more, book a private session in our wood-fired hot tub, infra-red sauna or massage and yoga treatment in our well being studio. Please pre-book or get in touch with us for more information.

Need to Know
The Homestead eco cabin is self-catering however we can provide you with a Lazy Breakfast Hamper consisting of home baked bread, eggs from our hens , homemade muesli, local jams butter, milk and from mid-summer onwards enjoy salads and vegetables from our garden. Our hampers can be pre-booked or arranged before you arrive.
We ask that lit chimeneas and cooking stoves are never left unattended. Please don’t approach the pond or wander amongst the ducks, but do watch them from the Welcoming Seat overlooking the water.
You will find recycling arrangements clearly marked for all separated waste materials. Protective slates are provided and must be used beneath all cooking stoves & hot pots to avoid any burn marks on the grass & shelter surfaces.
The Lazy Duck is a peaceful place. Please be mindful of this when you are enjoying the swings and hammock and around the chimenea fires. For everybody’s benefit we ask for a respectful quiet period between 11pm and 8am. Lazy Duck is a non-smoking environment.
Regrettably visiting dog/s are not possible on account of the sensitive wildlife in the vicinity. However we can personally recommend a small local kennels, Hilltop Kennels in Dulnain Bridge, offering first class accommodation and individual care at a very reasonable price to enable your pet to get the benefit of the great walks here.
