HOW IT WORKS

  • Open for Lazy Duckers: When not in use for treatments, the hut is yours. Come in for quiet reflection, forest watching, or a moment of stillness.

  • Check the Door: If the "Session in Progress" sign is out, a private treatment is underway. If there is no sign, please make yourself at home.

  • Book a Treatment: To enjoy a massage or holistic session, we recommend booking with our local practitioners in advance of your stay.

We work with a small circle of local friends and practitioners who bring their expertise to the hut. Booking a session allows you to transition from the hurry of daily life into a slower more relaxing rhythm.

We simply ask that you check the door before entering; if our "Session in Progress" sign is out, a private treatment is underway. If not, the space is all yours. Please come in, close the door, and settle into the quiet.

  • Simplify: Remember how little we need to feel restored—just a view of the trees, and the time to breathe.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No booking is required for quiet time. If the hut is empty and there is no "Session in Progress" sign on the door, you are very welcome to wander in. We only ask that you book in advance for professional massage or holistic treatments.

  • Just yourself and perhaps a notebook or a warm layer. To keep the space truly calm, why not try leaving all digital devices—phones, tablets, and laptops—back in your hut or cabin?

  • General use of the hut for meditation, prayer, or forest watching is included in your stay. Massage and holistic treatments are an additional cost and are paid directly to the practitioner.

  • Yes, you are welcome to share the stillness with those you are staying with. We simply ask that you keep voices low to respect the quiet of the woods and any guests in nearby huts.

  • The hut is open 24 hours a day to allow for early morning meditations or quiet reflection under the stars. However, please remember this is a quiet space, and other visitors will be staying at The Lazy Duck. The only time it is "closed" to general use is when a private treatment is taking place.

  • We keep it simple: if a session is in progress, a sign will be placed in front of the door. If you see the sign, please give the person inside their privacy and come back a little later. You can also check when it’s booked in the Breathing Space schedule above.
