Direct Day Trains: You can board a direct London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train from London King's Cross and travel straight through to Aviemore in just over 7 hours, perfect for watching the British landscape transform into the dramatic peaks of the Highlands. Similarly, if you are starting your journey from the south in Scotland, you can hop on a frequent, direct day train from either Edinburgh or Glasgow straight to Aviemore.
The Caledonian Sleeper: For a truly magical, low-impact adventure, you can book the famous overnight Caledonian Sleeper train from London Euston. Board the train in the evening, fall asleep in your private cabin (or seated coach), and wake up just as the train pulls directly into Aviemore Station at breakfast time.
