Loved our stay at the Lookout. We particularly enjoyed the bush shower and bowl for washing our hair, just like in Little Women! Stargazing in the hot tub while soaking in the soothing heat of the hot tub was a particular highlight. We were visited by a cheeky wee red squirrel scampering around along the woodstore. The birdsong in the morning and Owls hooting in the evening are the perfect sounds to wake up and go to sleep to.

We didn’t have to travel too far to enjoy peace and tranquillity of Lazy Duck (travelling from Black Isle). A very relaxing honeymoon break after getting married at the Strathpuffer mountain bike race and we enjoyed the Ryvoan loop from our doorstep! Thoroughly recommend the massage and hot tub under Orion and Jupiter. Amazing.

Ideally located to explore the Cairngorms National Park and just 20 minutes from Aviemore by car. An adventurous walk from your log cabin over the Ryvoan Pass takes you into the heart of Rothiemurchus Forest. It’s only a short hop onto the Snow Roads for a tour of our local distilleries. Abernethy Forest is on your doorstep so adventures can start from our eco huts if you prefer. The Loch Garten Osprey centre and shoreside walks is a must.
